As a Covenant College graduate, I was eager to achieve a high level of excellence in education. I was able to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Community Development. Due to the different core classes required for the major, I was able to take different Economics classes, History classes, and Social science classes. During my four years at Covenant College I was able to tutor students that were taking Spanish as a foreign language. I also was able to tutor middle and high school students from the community.

Due to my experience with a broad range of young learners, each working at a different academic and or cognitive pace, I follow a modified Socratic approach to both my classroom and one on one instruction by placing the emphasis on the student as we identify areas for growth. I always find myself trying to lead others to figure out material on their own as a I set guidelines for them as they do so. I believe this is the best way for them to learn the material. I do not like to tell my students the answers, inhibiting them from thinking things through. I try to find different ways of teaching material in order to keep them motivated, as well.
I am a recent graduate of kennesaw State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology. I believe that I am competent in various areas of biology and chemistry, and will be able to convey that competence. I have taught and tutored at my church and in other volunteer programs since high school. I also currently give drum lessons at a Stephen's Music Company.
