I am a senior history and anthropology major at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. I minor in Classics (Latin and History) and German. I have studied Spanish since 2013. I studied abroad in Salzburg, Austria and Aachen, Germany in Summer 2015. I visited the Yucatán for a month in 2014 to use my Spanish skills. A Little Bit About Me...

I try to employ "active learning" with call and response lecturing. I also encourage students to identify how they learn, by noting their own strengths such as linear or circular thinking. I also help them identify how they learn the best and encourage research, research, research as well as using games and multiple approaches to difficult concepts. I've been a college adviser and lecturer for the since August of 2003, so I'm patient, caring, concerned, but able to impart discipline and organization skills. Before my selection in the Fulbright Program to come to teach Arabic here at UNL, I was teaching French and English for high school students until I got my Bachelor's degree in 2008. With the Fulbright program, I went through various workshops on teaching skills. I learned crucial teaching techniques that have been impacting my career as well as my students'.
