A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very individualized based on the needs of the student. Some students need frequent breaks to be able to focus in for 15-20 min at a time while others can stay engaged for an entire hour.

I understand that everyone learns differently. I generally prefer a more hands on approach. I attended a Montessori middle school and found it most effective. However, the goal is find what works best for the student.
I graduated 10th in a high school class of 900. I have a BA in Dance and am currently taking pre physical therapy course work. I teach and train dancers, both in class and one on one. I also teach yoga. When I teach I also am teaching the history of the form, vocabulary, and the anatomy behind it.

A Little Bit About Me...

My undergraduate and graduate education has given me the tools needed to excel as a student and given me the needed skills to tutor students in English and writing. My education required extensive fiction and research writing, as well as a vast exposure to dramatic, fiction and nonfiction literature. I have always been successful at teaching children to understand and believe that they can learn anything from hitting a baseball to doing algebra. Each child learns differently, as I have learned from my own children. Starting slowly and building on the fundamentals will open the child's eyes and give them the confidence to succeed.
