A Little Bit About Me...

After receiving my bachelor's degree, I went to school part time to work on my Master's degree while subbing in area schools. I accepted a position as a teaching assistant, and two long term positions. I also tutored a junior high school student in all subjects.
I'm very eager to teach. I love to be able to help children succeed and learn new things. I do whatever it takes to make this happen, and adjust my style as needed for each student. I like to make a difference, especially through education.

A Little Bit About Me...

I find that each person has a different learing style and try to find out what works for them. I also teach them that organization of thoughts and ideas are helpful in how they approach learning. I relate the subject matter to what is needed to learn and to something that they can relate to. I believein repetition and that all people can learn if someone takes the time to find out their individual learning style. I find helping other learn and be successful very rewarding to me and would love the opportunity to do so with your students.

I very much enjoy teaching both children and young adults. It gives me great satisfaction in helping others achieve a higher level of knowledge and skills. In addition, I feel that tutoring is a two-way street, whereby both the student learns material from the tutor, while at the same time the tutor learns how to better present the material in a way that is conducive for the student's learning. I graduated from SUNY@Oneonta with BS in English. I was going in the field of education but i wanted to graduate on time. After graduation, i was working in the field of retail.
