I try to adapt my style to the needs of the student so I can teach in many different ways. I have tutored many people of various ages, past students have been as young as 5 and as old as 17. I am 18 years old but am highly skilled in the area of mathematics having taken 8 math classes above Algebra 1. I like to teach and I also like to hear how people learn. I like to relate the subject matter to something that the student enjoys so it is easier for them to grasp. I do try to get students to make discoveries for themselves so that they retain the information longer. I try to instill a sense of passion with my work and I encourage learning beyond the accepted minimum. Based on my age I may seem inexperienced but I assure you that my skills are plentiful and I can rise to any needs.

I plan to double major in mathematics and physics and then transfer to a graduate college, where I will be studying for my masters in engineering. In high school, I took every possible math class that was offered and graduated with honors and a 4.9 GPA. I am a firm believer that all students can achieve academic success but each in their own way. Having taught students with a range of learning difficulties, I am very much aware that each student has thier own learning style and therefore their own way of achieving. I am a very patient, easy going tutor who uses the students interests to relate to the subjects being tutored and therefore, promoting academic success.
