I am currently an Education major with a minor in history. I am also considering a degree in music and English. Generally I tutor in reading and writing. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a bachelor’s and a master’s in English from New Mexico State University, which enabled me to increase my knowledge of grammar and rhetoric. While pursuing my degree I worked as a substitute teacher for the Las Cruces School District during the 2005-2006 school year. During this time I taught a variety of subjects for grades 6-12 and learned from various teachers how to best interact with students. I also have experience editing professional publications for appropriate grammar use as well as a probationary teacher’s license for the state of Texas through Teachers for the 21st Century.

I finished my associate’s degree in 1 year. The day I graduated I was asked to join the faculty of the community college. I taught there for 3 years and reached the highest academic rank available to me. In addition to the technical skills required of drafters, and renderers, I bring a high level of artistic training, graphics arts experience and design drafting expertise with me and I use all of it for the benefit of my students
