Hi! I'm looking forward to working this summer, and I am especially excited about the opportunity to tutor online! I graduated from TJ High in 2011, and I'm now attending High Point University as a Strategic Communication and Human Relations double major. I am also working toward a minor in Marketing. Throughout high school, I earned a 3.92 grade point average, which means in my 8 semesters, I only finished 2 classes with a grade lower than A. During this time, I took 7 AP courses (World History, Psychology, US History, Calculus AB/BC, Literature, Environmental Science, and European History), which allowed me to enter college more than a semester ahead of most of my peers.

My comments on tutoring Social Studies : I have always been good in history, My dad has been a high school history teacher for over 25 years and I defiantly have picked up his history genes.

I am currently a senior at Sherando High School in Stephens City, VA. I have always been and A and B student. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and received a 1300 on my SATs. I love to help others out in any way possible. I love to meet new people and help them achieve in school so they can a have promising future! I have taken Honors World History I and II, I have taken College Prep English 11 and am currently in College Prep English 12. My comments on tutoring Social Studies : As an expert in teaching/tutoring Social Studies, I am well able to help any student in this subject area.

I have over of 30 years of progressive experience in tutoring young children in the elementary years of education in all subject matter areas. My specialty is literacy and reading, but I am also adept in teaching all of the math curricula as well. I also firmly believe that teaching organizational skills and proper research methodologies are very important for the classroom today--and every child needs these skills in order to excel in the classroom and survive. I am also a qualified art teacher in the NOVA area.
I believe in tutoring so that the child receives feedback and fully understands his/her own limitations and how to overcome obstacles in class. Many children lack positivity in the methodology! I also believe that using art instruction helps children to learn in a more creative manner.

I am currently attending West Virginia University to attain my Masters Degree in Human Nutrition. A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of a small, liberal arts, women's college, I have grown a strong passion for tutoring and helping others. I am currently studying to obtain a Master's in Public Health in order to ultimately educate the public about various health disparities.
