My comments on tutoring Spanish : Lived in Spain several years.

Style is one-on-one. The tutoring is flexible to accommodate different people's styles. However, tutoring is what one makes of it.
I work in the compliance/legal field in banking with over 15 years of experience with an educational foundation of a B.A. in Economics and a J.D. (i.e., law degree). I'm multi-lingual with fluency in Spanish, German and Polish. I have well over a decade of tutoring experience predominantly in economics, various math topics, Spanish and various subjects of law, in addition to LSAT prep.

I grew up in Texas and attended Abilene Christian University for four years. This also included two summers in Mexico. I lack only one semester completing my BA in Spanish. However, I chose to marry a Canadian and instead of finishing my degree, I moved to Canada. Over the years, I have periodically used my Spanish while travelling to places such as Honduras and Panama. Last year, I was offered a position as an in-class tutor/translator in our local school system for three Spanish-speaking children. I try to devote the day to getting kids interested in learning while covering the topics necessary. I cater to each child's needs and abilities and try to use their strength's to help their weaknesses. For example when teaching foreign language, if a child is not as strong in language as they are in math, I try to use formulas to portray language in a more concrete manner. I enjoy working with children of all ages and find that they enjoy working with me due to the enthusiasm I show them.
