I have been an Adjunct Professor with Southern Wesleyan University for over 15 years teaching a series of management related courses. The courses I teach are Human Resource Management, Contemporary Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Issues In Management, Negotiations and Conflict Management, and Marketing. I do enjoy helping students with their problems. I have a technique of visualization. for example, which is the first example I use. I tell the student to think of a tree. in the seconds you think of a tree, you don't think of just the tree. you think of the roots, the trunk, the limbs, the branches, the leaves. then you think of whats going on in the tree, right down to the point of the tree taking in carbon dioxide and giving off oxygen and water. Why is the tree giving off water. most people do not know that the tree is making water because it is attaching hydrogen to the oxygen to get rid of the hydrogen, acid. I can apply this same visualization to almost anything.

I wouldn't have a "professional" description for teaching style as my education was solidly based in the sciences. However, I believe that by teaching intuitive thought processes and critical thinking skills, students can easily adapt to the tasks given be they in science or liberal arts.
While planning for a career in medicine, I obtained a BS in biology with a minor in Chemistry. During the application and acceptance process I was an adjunct faculty member at a local technical college. My courses taught were remedial Algebra, biology, and anatomy and physiology. During the hours between classes I was a paid Tutor in the college's learning assistance center.

Since childhood, I have worked to help students improve their skills at reading, writing, public speaking or any other subject I could offer help with. In May, 2009, I received my BA in English, which allows me to assist with all English subjects, including writing, grammar, public speaking, and literature. I am also comfortable tutoring in Music Theory, Vocal Performance, and Basic Piano and am able to work with beginning French learners on grammar, vocabulary, and reading skills.
