My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I have used Core Knowledge Skills Program to help K-2 scholars understand the different sounds letters make.

Patience is a true virtue! When teaching children, patience has to be presence. I have learned through my experience, a calm environment with a patience and observant teacher who is willing to try to understand how the child learns, goes a long way because all children are not the same; therefore, they do not learn in the same manner.
