A Little Bit About Me...

My learning style is best related to maximizing cooperation between the child and the parent, child and the tutor, tutor and parent, and the sending agency sponsoring the tutor. Why should I learn this? - is an important question for everyone. What is the positive consequence for learning versus the negative consequence for not learning? Can learning be a rewarding experience? What are the many positive incentives for learning versus the many negative consequences for not learning? Can the tutor help the student answer these questions? Certainly.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education. I loved working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, but it was extremely hard finding a job doing that in my area. That also motivated me to work on adding endorsements to my teaching license so that I can teach regular education as well. I’ve added Special Education (k-12) and Social Studies (7-12) and I am working on adding English and Math as well. I am excited about given the opportunity to work in the school system.

I believe a child can learn any subject put before him/her. With the belief that a child can learn, it is my challenge to find out what style of learning best fits each child being tutored. When teaching I take the time to present materials one way, and if the student doesn't comprhend I will present it another way. My goal is to help each student meet his or her potential.
