Tutoring for Elementary Children

I have never been a tutor before, but I am in college right now for a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have great math and English skills and would like to put them to use tutoring children. I am patient and great with children. I have worked with children for a very long time. I took courses in high school, where we ran a preschool and were in charge of teaching lessons. The most important thing to me in teaching anyone anything is finding out what level they are currently at. In order to learn something, take something in and understand it, one must have something already to attach it to in their minds.
