I taught children's church for five years, while in high school and college. I attended Mt. Olive College for two years and transferred to East Carolina University to obtain a degree in Elementary Education. I received my BS in Elementary Education, as well as a certification in Reading for K-12. I'm passionate about what I do because I've been through classes in subject matter that I struggled in or was disinterested in and I want to be able to help others feel more comfortable in math where they might be weak or unsure. I also realize that sometimes the issue is motivational not a matter of comprehension.
