I believe sometimes it is the teacher failing not the student. To become a Doctor we don't always have a choice. i was blind in my left eye and completed on a level equal to all other students. Now they call them special needs. I believe in cognitive dissonance is best way of knowing the retention is high. Repetition is not like having the knowledge of the empirical charts in chemistry and memorizing. A scientific method is used to achieve this by chemist.
