My comments on tutoring Hearing Impaired : Master's of Education-Hearing Impaired/Deafness. 15 years direct teaching of deaf children, more years as an interpreter of sign language.State certified in Deaf Education. Experience at Alabama School for the Deaf, Mississippi School for the Deaf, Prairie View Home of the Chicago Center of Deafness. Retired now, formerly a member of Alabama RID, CAID, NAD, CEC and AGBAD

I have retred after 33 years of teaching. 32 years of primarily teaching history or social studies subjects. I also have 15 years of teaching in schools for the deaf, there is some overlap of deaf education and social studies education. I am National Board Certified as a teacher. I am a fluent ASL and Sign Language user.
Prefer to meet one-on-one or small group instruction in a neutral location, such as a library or eatery. I am very flexible to adapt to change to the needs of the student.

I enjoyed working with children, and tried on every ocassion to make learning fun to each student. I realized that every student learn different and work diligently to get on that child level of learning.
