I am a patient teacher not rushing the students to complete the task so we can quickly move onto the next skill. I would rather take the time and know the student is comfortable with a concept before adding new information. I use a variety of strategies from flashcards to mnemonic techniques to worksheets to hands-on activities, basically whatever will help the student become successful.

I feel like if I can put together a lesson that gives children a motivation to learn, they will learn on a deeper level than if I am merely telling them information.
