I have previously been a tutor for a high school district in CA I worked with all grades on all subjects. I have also worked privately with elementry age children with all subjects. I have a truly believe every person is capable of learning some people need a little additional help to be able to learn and comprehend the information. I have a B.S in political science from Arizona stat universtiy and have applied to a graduate program in special education. My comments on tutoring Dyslexia : I have a dyslexic child, and have helped her quite a bit throughout her academic career

Very relaxed and encouraging. I use quite a bit of discussion, and I like to ask students questions that lead them down the path to help them discover the answers they seek. I have found that information is better retained if one can guide the student to the conclusion that they seek, building upon the knowledge that is already there. One of my favorite thing is watching stidents' faces when they have the "Aha!" Moments.
