A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience tutoring individuals with ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, and those who simply do not understand the work. For the past 4 years I have tutored students in all subjects in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Also, I have a child who is ADHD with whom I assist while doing homework. Though I do not have a degree, I am very patient as well as knowledgeable. I can break things down to any level so that your student will understand it better and possibly even enjoy the subject more.
Once I have an understanding of what a student is capable of I like to push them to go past their "comfort zone" in learning. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1999 from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Elementary Education and Communications. I am also National Board Certified in area of Middle Childhood Generalist. I am certified 6-9 and 9-12 English.
