I am a teacher and tutor. A good deal of my experience has been teaching Reading and Language Arts. I also have a degree in Learning Disabilities. I have taught general education as well as special education. I have taught at all levels. My most recent experience is in a primary class. I have also tutored secondary and college level students in Writing Skills and Reading.
The individual needs of the student will direct my teaching strategies. I make every effort to be student centered. For example, "what is the best way to help this person understand reading comprehension?". Students have varying apptitudes and well as strengths and sometimes, weaknesses. Due to the fact that I was born and raised in Germany and have since lived in various foreign countries, I have adopted sensitivity when it comes to culture and characters.
