My teaching philosophy centers first, and foremost, on the task at hand: educating every student I service. It appears that for the sake of the school’s overall achievement level on state tests, students that require critical and extensive attention are being ignored for lack of time. Because it is assumed that these students will not pass the test regardless of the amount of effort invested in them, very little is invested in them and they are left far behind. These students will not only fail the test, but will establish the concept that no cares one-way or the other. I believe every student has a talent for something. It may be difficult to discover what talent a child possesses, but this challenge is important and rewarding.
