I received my B.S degree The Pennsylvania State University and my Masters Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. I have always known that I wanted to become a teacher. I believe educating our future, our children, is one of the most important jobs anyone could have. I love being in the classroom and interacting with the children. As a young man I had several problems with math. It turns out that I was unable to visualize what the equations meant in abstract algebra and calculus. Eventually I was able to relate these concepts to subjects that I found interesting such as music and archaeology. Therefore creating more interest in the subjects that I gravitated to naturally. I believe that I could explain concepts to others in a way that suits their interests. At the end of the day the reason I would be a good tutor is that I am truly interested in learning and teaching what I learn.
As a graduate of Lehigh University, I am interested in helping others learn about the subjects that I had become well acquainted with. I have a BA in Anthropology which I believe makes me a great candidate to teach a broad array of subjects including reading and writing, history, art, and cultural studies. In addition I have t ... read more

I enjoy teaching students about art through their experiences and how artists have been working through the ages. I use the art elements of color, line, shape, form, value and texture to help students experience art. Everyone learns and sees things in their own way, so I believe in showing more than way to create art. I would like my students to take their time with their work so they can enjoy the process and learn from it. I love seeing how a student can be effected through all types of art experiences. Anyone can learn to create and appreciate art, through practice and discovery.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved working with children. I has a child care provider for one constant family for more than 6 years. One of the children had ADHD while the other had no learning disabilities. I had to use two different types of teaching styles when communicating with them. I am a naturally caring, considerate and easy-going person and find those characteristics important in educating. I am willing to work with each child differently as I know everyone learns at a different pace and with a different approach. I find teaching with visual examples is a beneficial approach to teaching. I am extremely patient and am willing to work with any child to enhance their learning and experiences.
I will soon be graduating from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Psychology. I have always had a strong inclination to help people in any way possible. I decided to major in psychology for the pure re ... read more
