I received a B.S. Degree in Education with a teaching certificate in English-Communication, at the secondary level. I am also qualified to instruct younger children. I have been teaching and counseling special education students for 10 years. While earning my teaching degree, I was employed for 3 years as a paraprofessional and therapeutic staff support specialist. The students I tutored and counseled ranged in age from 9 to 21 years old. For the past 7 years I have been employed part time at an private alternative education school as the special education teacher. The students are in 7th through 12th grade, and they are diagnosed with a need for emotional support. I also work each afternoon as a home school teacher.
