I believe that every student can become successful in school, and has the ability to learn. Furthermore, each student has their own learning style and method of learning. It is imperative to determine each student's strength and weakness, and eliminate all weakness. Working with students who are academically challenged takes patience, kindness, and encouragement. A Little Bit About Me...

In 1963-64 I attended the Institute for American Universities in France, and also visited many other countries around the world, all of which increased my interest in languages and social studies. I taught upper elementary classes for 5 years, and after working in many other fields, taught ESOL for12 years as a private tutor, for Berlitz Languages, and for adults in the San Juan District with a specialty in pronunciation. I substituted in a wide variety of classes in middle and high schools in Elk Grove, and have tutored students aged 4 to 60 in social studies, English writing, including composition, reading, speaking and listening.
