I began teaching as a college sophomore at MIT. For 9 years, I taught primarily Multivariable Calculus, but also single-variable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and several writing courses. Since graduating, I have been involved in various volunteer tutoring efforts. My minors are in Math, German, and Writing. I happen to be a black female, the first to earn bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering at MIT. I am happy to work with anyone, but I might be a particularly meaningful match for a minority or female student. In addition to tutoring, I would hope to serve as a "can-do" example for someone who might not have dared to dream big enough.

A Little Bit About Me...

I've enjoyed working with students of all ages, background and grade level in coursework such as Math,Science,Computer and Engineering courses from seventh grade through undergraduate college. By teaching concepts rather than memorization skills that usually bore the student I work with each student and their own "easiest way" of learning to increase skills and self-confidence.
