I love children and love teaching anyone to do anything. I enjoy cooking, sewing and gardening and therefore am well able to help your child find academic success in a variety of subjects. I am a firm believer that a student learns by discovering what works for him/her. I believe in basic teaching with practice,and feedback. The differeniation of individual learning styles is always taken into consideration. My primary focus has been on 6th grade math and pre-algebra and having students understand the step-by-step process so they can not only know where the are, but where they are going and where they have been in mathematic skills. Working with ESOL students of many cultures has been a plus and has been a great part of my education focus when teaching English.
