I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Corporate Communication Studies. During my final semester as an undergraduate, I applied for Teach For America and was accepted as a 2014 Corps Member in the Rio Grande Valley. Part of my Teach For America Summer Institute required corps members to teach summer school at Houston ISD campuses, where I taught middle school math at Patrick Henry MS. A Little Bit About Me...

I've been passionate about math and physics for as long as i can remember. In high school I was enrolled in every AP math and physics class I could get my hands on, including Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Multivariable Calculus, Vector Calculus, and Differential equations. When I started college, at the ripe old age of 36, I had to retake remedial math courses and when I didn’t understand something I sought out help…either by being the crazy woman in the back of the room asking question after question, in tutoring labs, YouTube videos, etc. I absolutely refused to give up, so I worked my butt off!!! While sitting in the tutoring lab on campus one day, I saw a woman struggling with the course I had completed the previous semester and offered up help. She told me that she learned more in 10 minutes from me than she had in an entire month, and then she asked if I tutored and said she would pay me.
