Most of my experience comes from substitute teaching. I have been a certified local substitute teacher since September of 2010. My comments on tutoring Statistics : Statistics is a subject that does not typically get in-depth coverage in K-12 classrooms, and I can help students understand the importance of basic statistics and data analysis with both drill exercises and real-world projects like weather-tracking.

I prefer personal and small group teaching, but I can also do online tutoring with Webex. I like to get to know my students and their goals. I can help students set those goals, make plans, and achieve. I have lots of experience creating curriculum materials and lessons, and I try to find a real-life application to each lesson.

My teaching style varies with skill level. Some children need reinforcement schedules while others just need help puting their foot in the right direction. Start with what the student knows and gradually into the new and unknown material. This way the student is guided seamlessly into the unknown using what he knows as a "bait". Math, and calculus for that matter, is best mastered by practice. As such, I prefer to guide the student into problem-solving immediately after the concepts are taught.
