My teaching style is very unique. I start off by just getting to know the student and having them get to know and trust me. I then build on that trust factor while helping the students with their homework. I connect well with students and they trust me. In the end, it seems to be the best way the students I work with learn and finish their work. Learning should be fun and not boring. It should be interactive and not just book work. If a student can experience learning first hand, they're bound to acquire enough knowledge to help them succeed.
I am a Fresno State graduate with my BA Degree in Liberal Studies. I'm currently in the Multiple-Subject Credential Program. It is my belief that teaching is an honor and a passion, not a profession. Everyone has a different learning style and teaching to an individual is very important. I also believe that teaching is as much a method of guidance as much as it is a method of instruction. Often times, students will learn on their own if you give them the opportunity for exploration. My goal as a teacher/tutor is to help students understand how they learn, and to inspire them to want to learn.
Throughout my high school career I maintained a GPA of at least 3.5. The same can be said for my college career so far. By majoring in Liberal Studies, I have gained an extensive knowledge of teaching methods as well as the ability to teach many different types of learners.
