A Little Bit About Me...

I like to have fun with my lessons. Getting the students to understand and enjoy their time with me makes them more likely to want to work harder.
I received my English degree in the spring of 2011. I stayed at Purdue University, completing my Student Teaching in the fall of 2011. I received my certification to be a Secondary English Teacher in Jan of 2012 and have kept it up to date since. I worked in South Korea for four years (2012-2016), teaching a wide range of students English. I have a lot of experience with ADD/ADHD students as I am one. I am also experienced with Asperger's as I was diagnosed with it in college.

I am a second year student at the Universtiy of Georgia. I taught private violin lessons to middle schoolers from the fall of 2010 through the summer of 2011, and I myself have received seven years of private instruction. I have experienced numerous auditions, concerts, and other performances, as well as traveled with my high school chamber orchestra to Washington, D.C. and Savannah, Georgia. I have worked with younger kids before with baseball training, so I have experience teaching concepts to students. My comments on tutoring Language Arts : I have a Masters of Teaching in English Language Arts instruction for 6th-12th grades.
