My comments on tutoring Physics : Took Calculus based Physics in Fall 2011, passing with a B. Took Calculus based Physics II in Spring 2012, passing with an A

Laid back. I like to discover with the student, teaching them how to teach themselves in a way. My learning style, and therefore my teaching style, has always been to break a lesson down to its simplest form, and tweaking it to fit various situations. This way, the lesson is easier to remember, like learning to ride a bike.
I am currently a returning student at Arkansas State University, majoring in Computer Science, and minoring in Math and Graphic Design. I previously attended Arkansas Tech University, but withdrew due to financial reasons. In 2005, I became employed at Mid-South Community College, where my duties included helping students with computer questions and issues, as well as tutoring a few students in math. During my employment there, I taught a 5-week Intro to Computers course. The class consisted of a mix of traditional and non-traditional students.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a Williams Baptist graduate, I have earned a bachelor degree of Science in Biology. This has given me the opportunity to gain knowledge in many areas of science. Also, due to the fact that Williams Baptist College is a liberal arts college, I have gained experience in other areas that have polished my writing skills. While I was a student at Williams Baptist, I worked in the counseling center as a tutor. I tutored for 4 years in Science classes as well as in spanish.
I think it is a privilege to teach. I believe that the one thing that no one can take away from you is your education.
