A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved working with young people and helping them achieve their potential. I have worked with mainstream and honors students to behavior disorder and severely cognitively impaired youth. I believe there are no throw-away kids and that given the right environment and opportunities, all students can learn. My goal is to provide the best education possible and make my services become obsolete for each student. I like to assess how students learn best and proceed with that vein of educational style and couple it with projects. I am a graduate of North Carolina State University with a BA in Sociology. My interest in people and passion for helping others has lead me to many great opportunities. I have worked with the North Carolina Department of Human Resources, and aided/taught/mentored in the developmentally disabled and at-risk populations. I have had the chance to utilize my education and abilities in the Deland-Weldon school system for the past four years.
