I enjoy working with students and watching their growth and development academically. My approach to each student is different because I understand each will need a different approach. Initially with each student I identify his or her strengths and weaknesses with the material. While building on their strengths, I attempt to change their perspective towards the course material that seems difficult. I have helped others with their approach to learning for over 25 years. I tutored in several subjects in high school, and Algebra I in college. I developed several documents and training sessions during 14 years as a computer professional, and am proficient in breaking down concepts so that they are easier to understand. I am a certified Pre-K through 6th grade teacher. I have had experience tutoring second, third, and fourth grade students throughout my college/post-graduation years. I taught third grade last year, and did my student teaching in kindergarten and first grade classrooms two years ago.
