As a visual learner and instructor, I believe the best way for children to retain information is by breaking down the task itself and visualizing it in stages/phases. Often times children feel overwhelmed by the countless lessons taught inside the classroom, resulting in defeated attitudes and poor grades. With the right learning fundamentals, children can attack their assignments with confidence and ease. I speak from experience as I was an elementary parent's nightmare. I consistently had trouble with mathematics and reading comprehension, and spent several hours a night having assignments read to me.
