I am a stay at home of a toddler. I am currently getting my associates degree in veterinary technology. I moved to Anniston about a year ago. Before I moved I tutored my brother since kindergarden. He is now in 7th grade. I graduated from Florence High School with an advanced diploma with a B average. I have a passion for science. This also fosters my love for math and English. I can tutor in home or come to you.
I like to work one on one with books. I write out examples and explain different ways to approach a problem to help Foster different learning styles. I think it is important to be able to teach when the school systems move from books to tablets for classrooms.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a student focused educator. I explore the students learning style in order to incorporate it in the lesson. I also vary the style from time to time based on the content being presented. This allows me to identify the best response from the student. Assessments are also given in order to obtain measurable data of progress.
My current experience in instruction include, teaching Algebra 2, Geometry and Biology to full inclusion Special Education students in grades 9-12. Many children struggle with classroom learning because they require a different learning method than the one being offered or more direct attention than a teacher of 20+ students can offer. As a dyslexia therapist I was instructed in a number of different approaches to teaching and how to match each one to an individual student's needs.
