I began my French career roughly ten years ago. I knew that French would be at the very center of my existence. Therefore, I decided to dedicate my studies to the language. I even wound up living in France for over a year. I lived in Paris for six months and Montpellier for the rest of the year. I have a calm teaching style and approach. My goal is to help clear confusion for students by teaching them several easy steps to keep in mind while writing.
I have helped many of my friends and other students become better writers throughout and beyond my college career. My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : I completed a course at UNC-CH on Shakespeare for my degree. I can quote Hamlet and summarize/analyze the major works, but I'm not a fanatic.

I am a patient and understanding teacher. I enjoy fostering close relationships with my students so that I can cultivate my methods to best suit their learning style.
I have a degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and have two years experience writing for the Daily Tar Heel. I have also completed internships with the local NPR station, WUNC, and with the organization AGRADU (Advocates for Grassroots Development in Uganda). Each child learns differently so I try to explain in ways they can understand. I listen to what and how they need help and try to relate that to helping them understand better. I try to get them to discover the answers on their answer and feel comfortable with explaining how they got the answer.
