A Little Bit About Me...

As the oldest of five children, my 15+ years of tutoring experience includes helping my siblings in their homework when we were growing up. I have also taught English for two years at a private Junior/Senior girls' high school in Kyoto, Japan; mentored the English Speaking Society for the high school students; and, more recently, trained three content editors at Intel, as well as developed training classes for HP. Having homeschooled my children (eldest is attending a top 20 public university)and volunteering extensively in the school community, I have become familiar with a wide variety of learning styles. My legal background has prepared me for tutoring in that I am able to effectively communicate with the student and present the material in a manner conducive to a learning experience(similar to explaining legalese to a lay person).
