I passed the ASVAB and served in the Marine Corp from October 2004 to October 2008. I was a motor transport operator. I served two tours in Iraq. I am a leader and believe that I will be a great asset to helping others in their desire to join the military. I am a certified teacher k-12 in visual arts and have been teaching for the last ten years. I have an AA -Aeronautics, BA-Graphic Design, M.Ed.Art and MDiv degree. I have been tasked with improving the reading and writing skills of my students 9th through 12th grade. The majority of children are left brain thinkers and need to be challenged to utilize the right brain to evaluate, analyze, interpret, and understand the meaning of concepts and ideas. Higher level depth of knowledge thinking must employ the elements of the right brain: imagination, creativity, intuition, faith, and innovation, which are all necessary elements in problem solving.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a high school teacher of 25.5 years. I graduated from Mobile College with a Bachelor of Science degree, and from Alabama State University with a Master's degree, both in education. My experience has been working with students that are academically disadvantaged. I have tutored elementary students in reading and language for over 10 years. It is my ultimate goal to see that each student strengthens/increase their areas of weaknesses in reading and language.
