Poetry is one of my top subjects! A poet at an early age, I edited my college literary magazine, and so have both personal and education-related experience with poetry as an art and as a study subject. I hold a Bachelors in English with a minor in Philosophy and Religion. I have years of experience in business writing and in creative writing and poetry; some work in advertising and PR as well. A Little Bit About Me...

I am the author of five historical novels and a number of articles, poems and short stories. I occasionally do short “residences” teaching Language Arts and Drama to special needs students in k-12 schools for VSA Arts of Florida. My graduate studies emphasized American and Tudor/Stuart History. My doctorate included a Criminal Justice minor. I regularly teach writing and grant writing seminars to adults, usually through libraries on weekends or in the evening.
I believe everyone will respond well to individualized instruction when the tutor studies the student's learning style and offers the information in the form best suited to each learner. I am patient and encouraging with students. I work hard to find ways to present a subject so that each learner will find it interesting.
