Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.

I've never actually tutored someone, but I am very good at relating with younger kids and High Schoolers. I was in band from 8th grade to 12th grade where I participated in the Front Ensemble section with keyboards, vibraphones, marimbas, xylophones and various other instruments. I was in the Wind Ensemble which is the highest band class and my last year they introduced the Percussion ensemble where I was a soloist. I was also the section leader during my last year as well. I teach a bible study class at my church where I am not always given my lesson on time, so I usually do very well under pressure. I did very well in High School by graduating with honors. A Little Bit About Me...

As a Training Coordinator for service-learning projects throughout Florida, I learned about the effectiveness of service-learning strategies. The opportunity to apply what is learned in classroom settings promotes retention of all subjects. In one project, students learned about homelessness in Palm Beach County, Florida and throughout the United States. Students empowered themselves when they spearheaded a food drive and conducted an assessment of homeless people in Palm Beach County. This process enriched their empathy for people in need.
