I have worked with youth all my life. I managed youth services at a library and was responsible for all programming and special events for youth of all ages as well as programs for struggling, beginning readers and homework assistance in the afternoons. I worked with many schools providing literacy-based activities in their classrooms. As part of my master's course work in elementary education, I studied child development, mathematics, social studies, science and language arts instruction. A Little Bit About Me...

As an engineer and manager, training employees was an integral component of work performed throughout my ten-year professional career. I created systems and procedures, followed by training and "tutoring" for successful implementation. I also worked for the university during my college years as a Chemistry coach. I tutored students 20-hours per week for four years, providing one-on-one and team services. In high-school, I tutored elementary students in mathematics and reading. A Little Bit About Me...

I began college as an engineering major but found myself missing the teaching/learning process. I finished college with two bachelor degrees, BA in Mathematics and BS in Secondary Education. I have recently completed my fifth year of teaching. I have taught and tutored students in the areas of algebra, calculus and physics.
I believe many young men and women are missing strong male role models in their lives. Through my love for education, I strive to become that positive influence in their lives.
