I am patient and thorough. Writing may be my forte, but I understand what it feels like to struggle with a particular subject. I know what I needed to be able to learn, and I try to give that to those who ask me for my help. I believe persistence, encouragement, and praise are the best means of helping a struggling student learn. Frustration will inevitably be felt by the student, but it is my responsibility to help the child work through that and absorb what I am helping him or her learn.
