A Little Bit About Me...

In addition to my undergraduate degree, I earned my law degree in 2010. While enrolled, my reading and writing skills were honed. I was required to demonstrate proficiency in legal writing as well as an understanding of my intended audience. Grammar and spelling were expected to be top notch. These skills were applied to research papers (30 + pages) and essays (4-10 pages). Additionally, review of class notes during the semester is a must. Before law school, I was a budget analyst for a large government agency. I trained over 100 employees on the agency’s new financial system. I was tasked with drafting materials and structuring each session. I also used the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word) extensively.
In teaching large groups of people I’ve learned that different people have different requirements when it comes to learning. My style is to try t ... read more

I currently work with college students helping them explore their inner leadership abilities. I've brainstormed, researched, created, and implemented a retention-driven mentor program for underrepresented students. I use both of my degrees every day; serving as a voice for underrepresented populations and I thoroughly enjoy budgeting and planning for the Office of Student Life. I enjoy supervising students of all ages, majors, and background. Also, I supervise undergraduate research utilizing not only my interpersonal skills but also my grammatical skills.
