I have enjoyed learning since the day that I remember a light turning on for me. I struggled as a student until one day something clicked when sitting with my tutor. From that moment forward I began tutoring from my undergraduate years all the way up through my graduate program in as many subjects as time would allow. Enthusiastic learner and tutor!

With respect to tutoring, I worked during the summer of 2009 as a teachers assistant for a summer-school program known as Korea Poly. The students were 3-6th graders and required assistance in completing homework and practicing and refining their English writing and speaking skills. I don't know that I favor any particular style of teaching, I just try to relate to the student. I find out what he/she likes doing, and I try to find examples and analogies using these things. I also try to find more than one way of explaining things. This seems to ensure that the student is acturally learning processes and not just answering the question.
