I have over two years of professional tutoring experience both in classroom under professor supervision and one on one. A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience teaching many types of students. I worked one-on-one, daily, with an autistic student during my last position, so I understand that not every student learns in the same way. I think it works well to give shorter lessons to a small group, and then work individually with the students. I like to encourage them to help one another if they feel confident in the subject. I pay great attention to verifying that each student is following the lesson. My main teaching style is "I do, you do," meaning I show them how to do a problem, or spell a word, and then they show me how. I like to work with the parent and child on any goals they have for the year, while updating the parent and child on progress, problems, and behavior.

I find that every student can learn. Although challenging, every human being has the power to learn another language. I would describe my teaching style as fun yet effective. I like to immerse my students in the target language to ensure proper learning. I will practice verb drills, sing songs, and perform skits to ensure that the material is properly learned. I believe all students can learn but obviously in different ways. While I am a firm believer in self-discipline, I also am flexible in working with children but not to the point of sacrificing true learning.
