I graduated from college with certification to teach grades 1-12. Do to the job market at that time, I was unable to get a full time teaching job. I substituted and then tutored for 2 years. I then worked various jobs working with the public. I believe in using a multi- modality approach to teaching. The more senses involved, the more likely one will remember. Since November 2009, I’ve been teaching general biology at Logan-Hocking High School in Logan, Ohio. I have developed lesson plans, managed classroom learning, doing all the things any other science teacher would. In the summer of 2009, I worked in Albany, New York for the Albany Pine Bush Preserve conducting surveys in the preserve for the endangered Karner Blue Butterfly. All the assigned tasks required knowledge of general biology, especially in plant natural history. I graduated in May 2009 from Muskingum University where I obtained a B.S. in biology. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a passion for teaching. I love to teach children and young adults. I have always been the teacher to help the struggling students, because at one time I was that student. I understand the encouragement and one on one that learners need. I understand that each of us have our own learning styles and I as a teacher have to understand that to help each student achieve their highest potential.
I have a degree in both Elementary and Special Education with a concentration in History. In the past nine years, I have taught Kindergarten for seven years and fifth grade for two years.
