My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : In addition to being a voracious reader, I actively write reviews for books. Many of my reviews can be found on Goodreads.com. I believe that if you compare my reviews to others you will find that I am succinct, detailed, and objective. Writing a review directly reflects upon an authors ability and potential longevity. One should write a review with the desire to inform on content and intent. I believe that I do both diplomatically.

I spent thirteen years in college, and participated in many study groups. Every group has a person who leads, I have generally taken that role. I have also chosen professions where working in groups is the norm. I enjoy active problem solving, looking at all potential solutions, and digging for the best. I think these skills have lead me to being an exemplary employee. Officially I have only served as a tutor on a volunteer basis; for the last six years I have primarily dealt with elementary school aged children. However, I believe that I have more than sufficient skills to deal with all students.

I've found it's important to find a personal way of learning for a specific student. Variety is important, because every child learns a little differently.
