SAT Tutor with Specialized Curriculum

I have been tutoring high school students for a couple years with excellent results. My method of learning to take the SATs is very unique and has led to me using this system to score in the top 0.5% of all test takers. Anyone can learn to excel on this important test but most people go about it the wrong way. I am currently a sophomore in the college of engineering at Cornell University and have a great deal of experience in mathematics and science.

I find that each person has a different learing style and try to find out what works for them. I also teach them that organization of thoughts and ideas are helpful in how they approach learning. I relate the subject matter to what is needed to learn and to something that they can relate to. I believein repetition and that all people can learn if someone takes the time to find out their individual learning style. Having received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Cornell University and the University of California in the area of physical science (Atmospheric Science), I have attained a high level of knowledge in multiple areas ranging from Math and Science (particularly Physics) as well as Chemistry and Biology. In addition, while at Cornell University I earned a Minor in Communications focusing on both Written and Oral Communication. Regarding my abilities as a tutor, at Cornell I was employed as a Teaching Assistant for two upper level courses in the area of physical science. During graduate school I completed two six-month internships working full time in the classroom. I have spent the past three years as a substitute teacher in local schools. I was hired by a school district for two two-month long-term substitute positions. I was also hired as a private tutor for two students who were suspended from school.
