I enjoying helping people and especially children. I believe in the current society we live in today, it is essential for children to gain a good education and have role models to look up too. That is what I try to achieve when I tutor. I believe that anyone can learn anything if they are taught in the correct way. You have to relate and find a fun way to learn so the student can understand. I dont have alot of experience tutoring K-4 in history, but I am open to tutoring any student who wants to learn. I love to put myself in the students' shoes. I have the ability to relate to the students on an individual level and they respect me. I always hope that no one is left behind just because they are afraid to ask questions. I believe in having fun while learning and in being honest with your students. I taught one semester of College Algebra at Illinois State University. I was responsible for 2 sections of lab while I completed graduate credits for a Master's in Mathematics. My B.S. in actuarial science (math) was attained from Bradley University. Also, I've been a youth minister at the local church for a year and half now and have formed a large group consisting of junior high and high school students.

I have a very strong level of education and experience in accounting and finance. I have a BS in Accountancy at the University of Illinois and passed the CPA as well. In addition to the insurance designations of FLMI, FFSI and AIAF, I also passed the Series 7, 27 and 63 exams and was a broker/dealer Financial and Operations Principal for several years. Most recently I was an Investment Accounting Manager for an insurance company. My teaching experience is fairly limited. Last year I was a paid chess coach for K-8 and plan to continue to do that. I have also helped as an Awana leader and VBS leader at church. I enjoy teaching and coaching. As a chess coach I taught a group of 10-20 children.
