A Little Bit About Me...

I currently teach 7-12 grade English and Creative Writing in Fremont, Ohio. I am prepared to help your student or child with Grammar, Literature, Writing, Poetry, Shakespearean Literature, Reading Comprehension, etc. I have a passion for teaching and a passion for English. I understand that English is not an easy or loved subject. I will do my best to make English understandable and relatable. My goal is for my students to walk away with a greater knowledge and comprehension of the English language. I am also a junior high math teacher. English is one of my top subjects! I am a fully bi-lingual English and Spanish speaker, and have taught both languages.

When working with students one-on-one, I try to find out exactly where the next step needed for the student to progress would be, and then work to achieve an understanding of the foundational material that needs to be understood and applied to achieve success, and then move on from there.
As a Spanish teacher, I have an MA in Spanish, and have worked as a Spanish teacher at both the secondary and post-secondary levels. I have additionally worked as a Spanish translator and interpreter in the legal, academic, and medical areas. I know the value of knowing more than one language, as I have traveled in many different parts of the world, and have personally experienced the benefits of being able to communicate with people in their own language when travelling.
