I have an associates degree of applied science and criminal justice and a bs in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis area on criminology, sociology and business. Not only being a teacher, tutor and mentor to my children I have also taught Sunday school for grades first through fifth. I help mentor teenagers from the church during the summers. I am currently a senior at Missouri State University completing my degree in Secondary English Education. I have experience in tutoring my younger brother in the subjects of English and Reading while he is completing high school. I have helped him for the past 3 years.

Children want to learn. It is the job and responsibility of the teacher to show enough concern and ability to show these children how to learn. I try to always remember when I was younger and had a great deal of difficutly learning to read and write, how the teacher who helped me went about doing it so I could learn. She made learning fun, exciting and most of all important. I wanted to learn and enjoyed it so deeply I eventually went to college and earned my degree.

I grew up with both partents in the public education system, I was a student-teacher in H.S. and I earned a bachelor degree in Parks, Recreation, Natural Resource Management with a minor in Art Education. After graduation I taught Art and pre-school classes for the Springfield, MO Parks Dept. I was a librarian at the Springfield Art Museum.
